Doug , thanks for posting your pictures, it would appear from the differences, the there may have been a problem for some installations , because , the drip tray, black in the original pictures and white in yours, is mounted differently , your outside flange looks like it would touch the closed door , where the original post and my coach the tray is set back from the door frame. If the tray is mounted in-correctly and the template for the cut out is for the tray only, the cut out and cap may well be in the wrong place, in some units.

BTW; a second look at both pictures , the door striker adjustment/ mount bolt are accessible in the first photo, where your tray appears to be mounted over top of those bolts. Unless there was a change in the striker mount that allowed the movement of the tray.

I see what you mean.. I will likely pull my tray this fall as I believe the floor may have rotten plywood.. I made a fix for now to support the fresh water tank by placing boards under the tank, bridging the two steel supports under the belly.

I have a 2015 Ventana and have the exact same problem with my sewer connection. I looked at your pictures and the attachment of the 90* angle makes sense. My hose has a 90* connector and it is almost impossible to insert connector through hole and attach. How could Newmar make such an important connection so difficult. Has anyone talked to newmar about this problem and asked them what their solution is???

Hnormile, have you tried making sure that your outlet does NOT rotate? I ws the OP, and it was explained to me in this thread that the outlet was actually designed to rotate in order to point the outlet in the correct direction to go out the hole in the floor. The original owner of 12 years didn't even know it rotated, nor did I until I started this thread!

I would be surprised if the 2015 Ventana didn't have the same nice feature that my 15 year old Newmar has!

lrose, that is exactly what mine looks like. I've given up on trying to align it with the hole and just live with it. It doesn't matter how much I rotate up or down...it just doesn't want to cooperate.

Order a Valterra T1023 90* adapter from Amazon...it's has a shorter neck and works perfectly on my coach.

Dutch Star sewer outlet alignment

My '95 Ksdp is the same. The drain pipe does rotate, but is still a knuckle skinner. I'm tempted to try a little heat on that elbow to tighten the bend.

I have that same problem, and this looks like a great solution! I just ordered it so will find out later this week and report back.

Thank you!

Solution ( for me at least)

I have a 2000 DSDP and the first time I took it out I found the same problem.
After struggling and trying to get the elbow to fit, I came upon the realization that the elbow didn't have to be fitted at the black water outlet pipe. I connected the flex hose directly to the MH's drain pipe and put the clear elbow at the sewer connection for the site. This solution works better and is easier to view the DNA stuff. Try it, you might like it!

Here is a picture of the Valterra connections I use. Put the straight connection on from the bottom at the angle needed.

Yep, that fitting swivels, makes it much easier to connect the hose when pointed down. Our '02 DSDP was that way. Swivel it down and connect the hose direct to the MH fitting, no elbow needed that way. Did it for 13 years with no problems.

Loosen the two flange bolts and swivel the assembly.

If this helps. I had the same issue. If you loosen the flange bolts on the Valtera knife valves you can rotate the nozzle up or down and maybe it will help with alignment. I wound up rotating it down and using a 45 degree coupler on the sewer hose. It fits up thru the hole now. It was shoddy workmanship from the factory causing the hole misalignment. They should have cut the hole after the plumbing was installed for proper alignment. Hope this helps. I think my flange bolts were 7/16" hex.
