I’ve never driven a cornerstone, but going from 600 to 450 horsepower and corresponding torque loss would worry me. I guess you’ll have to drive one yourself.

The Dutchstar has all tile floors. That was one of the deciding factors for us over Entegra. In addition, Newmar interiors in general feel more contemporary. Entegra interiors were nice several years ago, but not much has changed since. Our DS 4369 is new, but so far we are delighted with it.

Very happy with our 4369. You will be as well. 450 ISL is not as robust as a 600 ISX but I can still break the speed limit and out-pull trucks on long grades.

We considered Entegra but found their unwillingness to make ANY changes a deal breaker. On the other hand Newmar was more than will to make over 20 changes on our 4369 which is do in Sept 28th. Our changes included custom paint, cabinets, and others. Their charge for these changes was more than fair. Couple this with a great dealer, Midway, and we knew we had a winning combination.

Drove an Anthem and the comfort drive of Newmar is a great advantage.

Would advice meeting with Michelle at Newmar and seeing all the things you can do to make it your coach.

Hi - If you are going to jump from a Cornerstone to any Newmar I'd suggest you look at coaches on the K3 chassis. That would put you in the MountainAire, LondonAire for a comparable. Dutch Star is a great coach but a step down from a Cornerstone in terms of the basic coach.

It was between Newmar and Entegra for us and Newmar won out. If you're looking to comparable to you 15 Cornerstone you'll need to look at Mountain Air or London Air. Mountain Air will have a 12 liter 500/1650 motor and London Air will have the 600/1950 motor both available on the K3 chassis or FCC as well. We've only had our for just over a week and love it. It was roughly 2000 mile drive back to Northern California and the power/torque was sufficient. Good luck with your decision process.

Hmf23 you don’t tell us what had sufficient power/torque, no signature line

BBelanger,

My bad, willipaul was correct. 2018 MADP 4531 and I think I've fixed my signature and avatar.

Dsdp 4369

We have a 2015 4369. It has been a Great coach and believe you would be very pleased with your decision. It is a very functional floor plan. Is it perfect,
No, but what coach is??
As to power, The ISl 450 performs well for it's cubic displacement. The engine brake manages the coach and the Toad very well, even on long 6-8% grades.
We live in the Pacific NW and travel in the Coastal and Rocky mountains alot.
Our travelling friends have a Alergro Bus with a ISX 600. We are never more than 5 minutes apart, even on long grades. Would I like more power, Yes, Do I need more power, No. So it becomes a need want question.
Most of the Commercial Trucks you travel with do not have 600 HP, and they are at 80,000 lbs , and up to 130,000 lbs in the western states.

Think of the House you are buying first and the HP second.

The two Chassis F/L And Spartan are both High End suppliers. I think you would be pleased with either.
I would, if choosing today, probably go with Spartan.

I wouldn't even think about a Freightliner chassis. They have had at least two fires on dutchstars both of which seem to be a result of lack of quality control. Way to many serious recalls on my 16 dutchstar. There are those with dutchstars that will say they are the best and can't look at it objectively.

I'll be the outlier here. The DS4369 is a fine coach but I came from a coach with more power so my DS4366 seems underpowered to me. I can't imagine you wouldn't feel the same way.

I chose the 4327 over the 4369 because of the angled kitchen which gives you a larger half bath and the cupboards are easier for my short wife to reach. New floorplan for 2018.
