Correction: Newmar can and will reprogram the ePlex in terms of clock table lookup values which is the bulk of what might need programming. They also have full diagnostic capabilities for the clock and the modules. If the clock itself fails, Newmar just replaces it, as one would expect. It is basically a computer and network all in one device. It's not field repairable.
You are correct that ED&D/Sensata/Whatever they call themselves these days will not give us lowly owners the programming software. But, Newmar does have it and several techs there know how to use it - and very well I might add.
