Ouch, Jettyjock, I bet that was expensive. I will try to eliminate an electrical problem first. I tried to find out which fuse it was and had no luck. If everything is good electrically, I will then pull the motor and see if it is broken somehow.

Thanks JohnBoyTwo for your reply. What main bolts are you talking about shearing off? While we were camped at RMNP for 5 days, I did pull the pin that holds the steps to the motor shaft. Once I got the steps down and tied down, my handicapped wife with a bad knee was able to use them. When we packed to leave it was pretty simple to put the steps back up, pin it and put in cotter pin in. No, the motor would not run and I could not find the fuse for it.
