We have the ATME 4154 with the Cummins ISC 350 engine. We were just wrapping up a 3 week adventure in the unit and had crossed into Alabama from Mississippi on the way back to North Carolina when we had low oil pressure. This was followed by a stop engine light.

We stopped and I checked everything and saw nothing out of order. When the engine was turned on again it seemed to run okay, but we had to keep our speed down. As long as we did, the oil pressure stayed okay and the warning lights stayed off. Found a Cummins shop in Birmingham (about 30 minutes away) and found out this engine had 2 piston failures, largely as a result of the same connecting rod/rest pin issues that caused recall of the ISL 850.

Anyway, it is finally fixed. The mechanics in Birmingham seemed almost excited to work on it since they said it was the first ME chassis they had seen. Cummins fixed it all under warranty of course...

...but we had to detach my Pacifica, stuff four kids, three cats and as much stuff as we could pack into it and drive the last 520 miles to NC. Now, after 2 weeks of repairs, we have to figure out how when we can get back to Birmingham to go get it.

Ah, the joys of RV life.
