2001 mountain aire Cummins under a load like climbing stop engine and alarm comes on for a few seconds.had fuel filter changed about 4 months ago anybody know ???? Or a good repair shop near Roswell n.m. thank you

So does the engine stop or just slow down under power with loss of rpm and power?

Also did the fuel filter change fix the problem for a short time? Did you have both fuel filters changed?

Point being is if you had both changed and it did nothing then you have a unrelated fuel problem. If when you changed either one or both and then the engine was fine until now you need to change them again but you may need to have your fuel tank flushed out. If it is a fuel problem, once located as such and fixed don't forget to change both the genset and Aqua hot filters as well.

Could, be a low coolant alarm , even a couple of quarts down could trigger it, on a hill in particular.
Do the gauges all show normal , oil pressure , temp , when the alarm goes off?

Good possibility your primary fuel filter is plugged with algae. I had the same thing happen to me. When you take the filter off see if it has green slime floating on top. If it does you need to add a fuel supplement to kill the algae.

I add this every time I fuel. It cleaned my system without having to have the tank cleaned. I've never had another issue since using this.

Do not know of repair shop in Carlsbad but if you make it / can make it to Alamogordo I recommend Grossman RV and truck repair. The do our repair and maint.

Is this a Freightliner or Spartan?

husband changed filters.been on the road for awhile no light yet but we aren't in the mountains either thanks again
