Entegra to Newmar

We are thinking about trading up from a 2017 Entegra Aspire 42DEQ to a 2019 Anthem OR a Newmar Dutch Star.
Things I like about the DS are the flexability to order changes (apparently), the More Floor, Comfort Steering, more windows and a better floor plan in my oppinion.
Are there other folks out there who have had the same idea?
What are some of the custom changes ordered with a new DS 4327???
Thank you!

We went from Monaco to DSDP. Looked at the Entegras and the Tiffins. We are very happy with our Dutch Star.

X2 on the floors. The Garard awnings with the power window awnings are nice and the power MCD shades.

Consider extra HDMI cable pulls for more flexibility on your TV hookups.

If you do go with a new Dutch Star don't order till you check the Spartan Chassis box. It sure is great to get to choice different items from the Newmar other models.

Tom and Deanna Lucie called and voted Newmar.

There are some recent posts from folks who have listed their ‘specials’.

When we got ready to buy I looked at both Entegra and Newmar. The ability to have a coach built your way plus other items already mentioned brought us to Newmar. Several years ago Entegra was less expensive but then, I think it was the 2016 model year, they significantly raised prices. The Newmar dropped the upcharge for a Spartan chassis and that also helped make our decision.

Basically most items in any coach can be added as a special. For example on ours I got plank floor tile from the King Aire, solid core doors from the higher level coaches to name a couple of items.

We went to the Tampa Supershow, walked all of the coaches, decided what we wanted for the interior, met with Michelle Howard the Newmar interior designer, gave her our other specials like additional wiring and had an order ready when we got home.

And the specials are reasonably priced.

Good luck on your journey.

You already mentioned the most important fact. Floor Plan....this to me is why we spent our money on a DSDP.

Are you unhappy with your Entegra? Had many issues?

Hi,
We are not unhappy with our Aspire. It is very comfortable to live in full time and a joy to drive.
No major problems and a great CS department.
Some days we are sure we want to go to Newmar, some days a new Anthem, some days just stay where we are.
Sure is a great problem to have.

We are on our second Newmar. Love their RV's and love to go to the Newmar Camp in Indiana.

If you are trading up from a 2017 Entegra Aspire 42DEQ to a 2019 Anthem I think a Mountain Aire would be more comparative to the Anthem but the Dutch Star is no slouch either.
