Entertainment Center TV panel removal

Subject coach (mine) is a 2008 Ventana 3933 with the entertainment center option; this option houses a flatscreen TV and its mount in a recessed area inside the cabinet face frame. The TV mount is bolted to a wood panel that covers the entire back of this area; I suspect that the subwoofer is behind the panel in the same area. I need to remove this panel. It appears to be nailed on with a bunch of finish nails; is this really the case, or is it glued in or fastened in some other way as well? Has anyone had cause to remove this panel in the TV entertainment center cabinets? If so, how did you do it and what did you find?

If you have cabinet doors on base of center, open doors and see if you have wood strips around the base of cabinet.
If you remove screws into floor the cabinet maybe able to move from wall and you can gain access behind the LCD.
If not give Newmar a call maybe they have a installation print for your entertainment system cabinet.
The sub-woofer maybe in base of cabinet and I have seen some on the floor of the kitchen cabinet behind wood panel.
