can anyone help me? I have a DSDP 99 model, and the entrance door will not stay locked back when open. I know that it has a lock on it, but seems to be broken.. thanks

If you are talking about it getting "caught" or "latched" in the open position, I don't see anything in the attachments pertaining to that. It's a "hooked nipple" that sits at the crook of the two arms at the top of the door, and mine breaks about every 2-3 years.

Not in my experience: just the part you need. You should contact Newmar parts and speak with them. Have them fax or email a diagram of what your door is supposed to look like (at the top hinge/arm), and see what's missing, what it's called and the parts number. Then call back and order it.

O K thanks, i was in touch with them this morning and they wanted to sell me the whole arm, for 395.00, I only need the spring, or whatever it is.. I will call the parts dept. thanks again..

Mine did that also! I squirted some 3 n 1 Oil on it and guess what, it stared working again!

Thanks RobRV, guess that was what was wrong with mine, I sprayed some W-D 40 on it and keep working with and now it works fine.
Thanks to everyone who sent me info. on it, and a big thanks to iRV2.
