I ordered the molding that goes around the outside edge of the entry
front door from Newmar. The original is white but they only have black
now.

I just wanted to confirm if anyone that may have done the exchange or
seen it done. It seems to me that the metal frame of the door needs to
come off before the molding can be squuezed in. Does that sound right?
Also it seems that teh entire door needs to come off to ease the
operation but I am not sure if that is really necessary.

Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Streff can you post a pic of what molding your talking about, is it the dress molding to hide the screws or a metal molding that goes around casing. If its the molding to hide screws you can squeeze the old molding and it will come out of the track on both sides of molding. You than pinch the new molding to get it into both sides of track.
You may have screws at the bottom ends on both sides you have to remove first, try not to stretch the new molding because it will srink in cold weather.

Thank you for teh reply,
I would like to post a pic but I am not sure how to do it. It is not letting me paste a pic in my reply.

It is the outside edge of the door (Most newer MA do not have them anymore).

Thanks

Streff to upload a pic you go to photo's above and sign in with same signin or another. after you upload pic it will be approved and than you can copy and paste to the next to last block in your reply that has the green pic in block.
Keep the pic 600x450 pixels and you should be ok to move it.
