I have a 2005 Dutch Star and I need to remove the entry door trim panel to repair my power lock. I'm assuming the panel removes just like a car panel (snaps on). Did a search but found nothing about removing the panel. Wanted to double check before I tear into it.

Are you talking about the wood trim around door or a panel on the door itself?
My wood trim has small wood plugs hiding sheet metal screws under them.

I'm asking about the panel itself.

Did you check the pop out electrical connector at the door frame? On our 04 Essex I kept having issues with the connector sticking in the door frame, keeping the door for unlocking electronically. Don't know what the problem is just thought I would throw it out there.

We had the same problem on our 08 Essex. Changed the door contacts/magnets and solved the problem. At the same time we found the wiring in the right front wheel well was being scrubbed by the tire on hard left turns and shorting out some of the door and step functions. Make sure the wiring is high enough in the well and secured.
