The nylon wedge attached to the top - inside frame of the entrance door broke again for the 4th time today. Has anyone experience this problem.

No. I lock the door before I start the engine and only unlock it after the brake is applied. We broke it the first time when the door was opened and the brake was not on. Since then, it has just snapped when releasing the brake. Newmar told me that they have not had many calls about this. Perhaps I just drive my MH more than the average Newmar customer.....so far 15,000 miles in 15 months ( 5 months off for winter).

Jerry, I think it is more common than what you first heard. When I called about mine last week or so, High line told me they are aware of it happening. In fact, I thought a repair center (not factory) had tried to carve on mine to solve an air leak noise.... Newmar said they just break and need to be replaced which they will do. It had nothing to do with the repair center.

The owner of PTL (door manufacturer) called me today to discuss the problem. Newmar could have installed an overide switch to prevent the wedge from engaging when the door is opened.
