Entry Door Won't Stay Open
Our entry door used to "stick" in the open position. I assumed there was some kind of detent built into the arm at the top at the door.
It no longer sticks at all and has to be held open with a bungee run from the door over to the mirror. Otherwise it will shut with the slightest breeze.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and know of a solution?

Never had a bit of trouble with the entrance door in the 12+ years we had our '02 DSDP.
Have you checked the bolt in the top of the door? If it gets loose that can happen.

Yes, we have experienced problems with our door staying open on our 04 DSDP. It turned out that the arm on the top of the door is spot welded to the locking mechanism and the spot weld had broken loose. We had the spot weld repaired and our door now works as it should.

Thanks for the replies.
I took a close look at how our door is held open...
There is a 2-part lever, hinged in the middle, at the top of the door. On one side is a slot and the other, a pin. Mounted on the pin is a fat (about 1/4" wide) c-clip. When the door is opened fully, the pin with c-clip enters the slot compressing the c-clip creating friction which retains the pin within the slot and holding the door open.
On our coach, the c-clip was broken in half hence - no friction.
I contacted Newmar today asking about a replacement clip. No response so far.
Meanwhile using a bungee with good results.

Same thing on my 07 KS. It was covered by warranty back then, since less than a year old. The arm assembly would have been $224 at the dealer. You could order from door manufacturer for about $60. Don't remember the name. Someone my chime in. It was posted here before where someone used a plastic zip tie around the pin, and replaced it when it wore out. Cheap ez fix.

Thanks for this good info.
I'm hoping the clip only can be replaced. Hate the idea of paying $85 for a clip on a just-outa-warranty coach. The rest of the device is in new condition.
I'll try the zip tie fix in the morning
This little stuff is annoying. My windshield washer quit working too plus bubbling chrome on the driver side mirror arm. What next?

door hold-open latch
I'm on my third latch assembly on a 2011 Ventana. I kept one of the failed units and have a temporary fix waiting in the wings in case this one fails too.
First I had to break off the rest of the broken clip that was spot welded to the pin. Then I bought a couple of rubber O-rings that I stretched over the flange on the pin (stacked one on top of the other). My memory says that the O-rings were 1/2" OD x 1/4" ID X 1/8" cross section, but you may want to check the dimensions before you buy the O-rings. The O-rings seemed to establish a fair amount of holding friction between the pin and the slot, but I have not tested it on the coach yet. It's an inexpensive fix, and I'm anxious to see if someone else tries it out and tells how well it works.
For what it's worth, someone along the way said that the units fail from letting the wind grab the door and impact the latch assembly.

@jswickard hearing your experience, I probably won't be doing a happy dance when Newmar responds to my inquiry.
I built up the diameter of the pin with some duct tape and attached a large wire tie. Works fairly well and I have a whole box of spares already.

Does the pump make any noise?
Did you check the fuse?
Just trying to help trouble shoot.

Couldn't figure out exactly which fuse to check so I put a DVM on the wires leading to the pump and found ~12v when the button was pressed. No noise out of the pump.
We're on the road till April. I'll pull it off and take a closer look when we get home. Most replacement pumps about $15.

Newmar no longer offers the clip. They will sell you the complete arm.
I used tall split steel washers I picked up at Home Depot. I spead it out to install then squeeze it down to work. It will need adjusting (expanding) as the washer is not made of spring steel.
I'm investigating getting some spring clips made OR investigating installing a strut on the door.

We had the exact 3 items go bad on our coach. Windshield washer pump motor was replaced, drivers mirror replaced due to chrome crackingand the entry door repaired because it would no longer hold open. My coach is the same model and year sounds like all these items are diffected.

Did you have Newmar or the mirror company replace the mirror?
It might be something the mirror maker with replace.
