Equalizer tech support is top notch. Give them a call and they will help you. Ours stopped working and over the phone they diagnosed it as a motor issue, gave us a funky workaround that worked, and then replaced the motor under warranty.
There are lots of videos posted online for the manual override. it's not difficult but you'll want the one that is specific to your model.
