Hi All,

Does anyone know what number Air Filter goes on the Essex ISM??

Another ISM question, re OIL change. The spec sheet calls for
41.4 qts , I only add 9.5 gals to bring the dipstick up to full???
Does anyone put in the 41.4 qts??

Thanks,

Bruce
07 Essex 4502
now in good working order thanks to my Sept visit to Camp Newmar

I just changed oil in my 2008 Essex and it only took 9 gals to be in the zone between "add" and "full". Adding another 1/2 gal would probably get it to "full" mark.

I have replaced my air filter but I am not home to know the model #. I think they go by length width and location on the inlet/outlet. I marked my oil dispstick and fill up to that point, usually 9 gallons. I buy it a Sams in 2.5 gallon jugs. The drain plug is either 1-1/16 or 1-1/8 in size.

Look through your manual book from Newmar. There is a brochure for the air filter in it.

ISM takes 40 Qts with filter. Drain plug is a Metric.

Air filter for 06 Ism is Wix #46893
Napa #6893 $112.00

I last purchased my air filter from Spartan. Was $90. Part #: 0415 HH2

I put in 40 quarts including filling the filter. Got me to the full mark on dipstick.

Oil filter part number was recently changed from LF 9001 to LF 9008 $41.00 thru Spartan

WOW! what a difference. I assume same quality as Fleetguard? They are now on my list for buying filters.
