The bedroom LCD control panel in my 2008 Essex 4508 when activated (by touching the screen) is completely white. Has anybody come across this issue? I have attached a picture.
Thanks

I also sent an email into Newmar and that is what they thought it might be. The challenge they said is the only way to adjust is with a laptop and special configuration software.
What I can't recall, is there a contrast adjustment screen accessible through the panel. If there was, I could potentially navigate to the screen if I had the precise location of buttons and sequence.

Yes, there's a contrast adjustment on the preferences page. If it's the same as my panel on the King Aire:
press 1/2" in, 1/2" up from bottom right to access preferences page.
press 3/4" in, 5/8" down from top left to raise contrast
press 3/4" in, 1" down from top left to lower contrast

See if you can get them to send you the software for the E-Plex. I know they won't but I figure we own the thing, we ought to be able to program it.. And I don't think you can adjust the bedroom controller with software because it is just a slave off the front. The computer hookup is on the front overhead.

Thanks for the information. I tried, but I was not able to adjust the contract. It looks like I am going to have to send it in to Newmar for adjustment. I asked if I could obtan the software and they ignored my request.

Is it still under warranty? What's funny is after you send it to them, they send it down to ED&D in Florida. Do any of the dealers have the software ?

Don't bet on it. I was told the dealers have to pull them and send it to Newmar. I talked to the people that make the E-Plex. They aren't allowed to give out the software and they are the ones that said if Newmar has a problem with them they send them back.

I had a similar issue on a 2010 Essex. The tech unplugged what looked lika a cat 5 cable from the rear of the panel and plugged it back in and it came back to life.
