Got home from the rally this aft.Poor weather but this was a great rally, wife & I had a great time. This being our first intl rally we can`t compare with others but organizers did a great job. I also had the pleasure of meeting Ed Gray & Ed Skibinski. Wish I could have met more of you.

I'll second that even if I couldn't crash their party. Had a great time shopping in that area like we do every year at that time. X-MAS shopping.

We are still in Essex Junction! We also were priviledged to meet Spoonman and Ed Skibby, both very nice people indeed. I also found myself seated at dinner the last night with iRV2 member "Clubmed98" from NH who is a walking, talking road atlas for the Northeast. He was very helpful in suggesting highways for us to take when we head over to Maine at weeks end.

For those of you who departed EJ, the weather has been spectacular nightly lows in the 40s and high reached 75 today, blue skies and fall foliage, but more rain is coming, and it may snow on Friday. ED

Ed, you've obviously drawn the "northern" straw from Mrs. Driver....

Doesn't she understand "south in winter" and "north in summer" migratory practices?

Me thinks them UFO's are getting to her!!

Go SOUTH young man!!

I hope you are kidding about snowing in essex junction. There is a group of us here that left our coaches at the rally site there while we took in the holland american cruise of the new england coast for 10 days. We are not due back till next week. I know some left a little heat on their rigs.

NO, I was not kidding about the snow, but please don't worry, as it is susposed to be just a "light dusting". The forecast is unchanged as of the Tues night news. It has been warmer recently than it was during the NKK rally. As you may remember, the temp got near freezing on Thursday night. On Friday morning, when my neighboring coaches were preparing to leave, their slide out toppers had thin sheets of ice falling off as the slides came in. There has been no rain(yet)but some is forcast for Thursday before the potential "dusting" on Friday.

I did not realize there were still some Newmar coaches here on the Exposition site. If you want me to check on them, and report back to you, please reply here in this thread and I'll be happy to take a look if you tell me where they are parked. I have moved to the Expo campground so as to have full hook ups and will be here until Thursday morning. ED

BOB: thanks for your concern, but I "voluntered" for this duty, and we have enjoyed our time here in Essex Junction. I also opted to remain and have met some really nice Tiffin owners holding an "Allegro Owners Club" rally with about 125 coaches present.

I must be a slow learner, as we can't take your advice to "go south" because we are headed over to Maine, when we depart Thursday. ED

Hi Ed
I have left some heat on in my coach, and I have mentioned this to the other owner's here on the ship and they do not seem too concerned. Not much can be done about the cold weather anyway. We are all parked at the front and if you were to go by the coaches on your travels to take a look, that would be great. I left my motorcycle there as well, but its under a cover. I had given a key to my coach to the caretakers there as i had taken on a mouse and had to set some traps before we left. He was going to check the traps and dispose of any findings for me.
Thanks

YES, you are Dave! Thee are nine Newmars backed up to the fence along Hwy 15, and your truck and bike are still directly in front of your Scottsdale. Everything looked normal, and the temps had not fallen to freezing when we left. I think the news weather guessers were modifying their forcasts, and not predicting snow for week's end. Enjoy your cruise, and don't worry about your coach-they are pretty resielient. ED
