What is the correct way of installing sealant around corners? Up the sides and accross the front and back. Do you cut the corners or form around them.I have heard so many good things about Eternabond that I thought I would give it a try. I am tired of haveing to pay so called experts resealing my fiberglass roof, and with in a short time haveing it leak again, about every 2 years or sooner.

Welcome garyl44 to the Newmar forum and irv2.
The Eternabond tape I would use on the seam from the wrap from sidewall on to the fiberglass roof seam around the stainless steel screw area on top of roof and at the corners just lap them for a good seal. All other seams down sidewalls and along the front and rear caps, windows, seam along floor level and the seam along where wrap meets the sidewall a Marine Sealent I have used from Berts or West Marine. Get the gun tube type the small hand tube is not easy to use.
You will have to remove old sealent with a sealent remover tool found in HD or Lowes and I found a small blade screwdriver is also handy to get out dried up sealent. The Marine sealent is easy to work with and you can make a find finish with your small finger along seam before sealent firms up.
I had to reseal the sidewall seam above the sidewall area to front cap corner passenger side water was coming down the "A" channel to rug.
Have used on floor seam area over compartment doors and looks as good as new.
all your top seams will dry out first as its exposed to the sun.
Enjoy the forums and do post often.

I've also been thinking about using the Eternabond on my 97 DSDP. What is the best width and over all best type to use? Are there any distinctions in this tape to be aware of. Also, 007, I was having a little trouble following your description of how you suggest to put it on. I understand a cleaner needs to be used and then to overlap away from the wind direction. I'd appreciate some testimony on the best application across the caps, corners, and all the roof objects as well. Mention is made about doing windows. How do you do that?

You would follow directions for applying the Eternabond and I would only use over the stainless steel strips where roof meets the aluminum wrap to side wall seam. If you have the old rubber roof the tape may not stick well, try spot on roof to see if it will hold.
Would than remove all other dried out sealent in seams along sidewalls above awning, floor level above compartments, seams that follow sidewalls and caps.
You can apply along windows frame and sidewall gap but if real bad may have to remove window frame and apply new tape caulk around window frame and remount window.
I would still use the Marine Sealent, much easier to use and stands up to the weather and sun.
