Exhaust Fan over Kitchen issue

Hi
The exhaust fan over the kitchen in my 2015 DS 4369 has a red light flashing.
If I push fan button on console fan does not open and work.
I took vent cover off.
If I manually open the fan it will work and if I push fan button on console it will close and stop
Above the fan and just below cover there is a red light flashing
Any ideas what it is.
Thanks

Normal. I didn't see it on mine until one night when I used the head I looked up and it was flashing. So I thought I had a problem. But upon further inspection if you look at the other fans they have the same light flashing. As to what it does I do not know but if all three are doing it and working as they should I'm good to go.

Those fans all have rain sensors and they close and turn off the fan at the slightest hint of moisture in the air. When they do this, the red light will flash.

You usually can manually override at the fan but it still may close and shut down if it is raining.

The wall switch is probably still lit. Press it to turn off and then press to turn on again and the fan will start again as long as it is not wet.

Makes sense
I think the sensor is sensing moisture as i'm in southern Ga.
Overcast ,cool
I'll watch it and try again when it gets a little sun on it.
But with no rain that sensor is "over" sensitive
I appreciate your response to my post

Yup! Found this out on a cool morning with condensation on the vent.
