Does anyone have experience with or know if dealers will offer discounts on extended protection policies or on insurance policies for coaches? I know there are differing views on whether extended protection is worth it. I am purchasing a new 07 which could suffer to some extent from the affects of sitting essentially unused for 2 years.

This is what I would do.

Extended warranties cost the dealers very little and are a very high profit item.

After arriving at a price for the RV I would tell the dealer that I would do the deal only if he through in the extended warranty for FREE. You may have to leave the dealership and go home but stick to you guns and you'll get it.

Fat chance of that.

I shopped on the internet for a price quote first. I printed out the best quote from a well known company, and took that into the dealer with me when I found the coach that I wanted. Just so happens that the dealer used the same provider, but they wanted to charge me almost twice as much. I gave them the opportunity to beat the price of the on-line quote, but they said they couldn't.
