Ok, I ran a search on the topic and didn't come up with anything useful. Does anyone have experience hooking up an external propane (100 lbs or more) tank to their Newmar. I have a 2001 MACA with the standard tank and regulator under the driver side.

Thanks,
Charlie

Suggest you get an Extend-a-Stay kit added to the coach propane line. Works great. As a matter of fact we are sitting in Fairfax, VA (Bull Run Park Camp Ground) until the end of Jan - a little cold weather camping until we migrate/retire out to sunny Tucson .

Good Luck - Mike & Georgene (looking forward to the warm...)

Marshall Brass makes the ExtendaStay tee, which lets you hook up the external tank via whip hose to your OEM tank. They also make an ExtendaTap, which is a tee that has the same threads as the 1 pound LP bottles. You can run your gas grill off of this with an extension hose. I personally use the ExtendaTap Plus, which has both the gas grill and external tank fittings on it so it performs both jobs.

Mike & Georgene Fromm, Cruzer,

Thanks for the tips. I think I will check into the the Extend-a-Stay. I am presently in NC with the MH, but spend a large amount of time in Southern MD (Solomons) year-round so I am familiar with the NOVA winter weather. We have had two snow/Ice "events" just this last week..wish I was going with you to "sunny Tucson"
