Factory fix for bad paint job/ fiberglass/ glue bond

Just looked at 2004 Essex and has new paint job. Said there was a factory defect with paint , glue , fiberglass bonding etc. has anyone ever heard of this. He said factory fixed most for free however he didn't notice his problem till later so it cost him 35k. ..
How does it hold up after repaired and problems in future??
Thanks
Ken

Thank you. I read all the posts but I'm hoping to hear back from people who had the sidewalks replaced and how it's holding up over time. Is there any warrant on the repair/paint?Thanks
