Any tips on a good way to clean these screens without taking them out?

Thanks,

Tom

I assume you're talking about the screen in a Fantastic Fan ? If so, rather than taking out about a dozen screws (PITA), I've had luck by using an air gun hooked to my portable compressor and blowing out with the fan on. I know they sell a snap in screen which I haven't gotten around to buying yet - think it's pricey .

Thanks Dave. I am referring to the screen in the fan. I can't believe how quickly they get dirty.

Great idea but I wish I had a portable compressor. I'll have to look for those snap screens though.

Tom

Tom - Just checked Camping World listings - Pop out screen for fan $12.99 (mbr. price).
Guess they are not that pricey. Think I'll order one. Cleaning the screen in those fans is the only drawback. Other than that, they are FANTASTIC !!

Thanks! But I need to clean them before I can hit a Camping World.

If you take a block of wood hand size and cover with old rug scrap you can clean all your door, window and Fantastic fans screens.
Than place a filter screen that you can wash to protect the Fantastic fan.
Has hardware for snapin and can be found at RVUpgrades,

Our screens just pop out, but when I don't want to remove them I clean them using the vacuum cleaner with the brush attachment.

My Fantastic fan is one way, so only the bottom of the screen gets dirty.. Vacuum does that side.

If I had to do the top.. Blower (Air gun on compressor)

We purchased the snap in screens from Camping World (they come 2 to a box) because it was such a hassle to remove all the screws from the stock units. So, whenever we need to give them a good wash down we just unsnap them, wash them in the sink and then simply snap them back in place. For those in-between cleanings, the vacuum and a wet cloth do the job.
