Fiberglass Dimple Removal?

I have a dimple in the fiberglass in the right front fender (generator slide out) on my 2005 DSDP, under the Diamond Shield, which is about the diameter of a nickel. I would like to minimize the possibility of it getting bigger and thought about reaching from behind and applying some pressure from the inside to push it back out, then using some epoxy or body repair stuff to hold it into place. Then I got the idea to maybe use a hair dryer to heat it up to make it easier to push out, but I don't want to screw up the Diamond Shield any more that it is right now. I've never done any type of body work or fiberglass work, but I thought if it were done from behind nobody would see. Just as long as I do it carefully and don't make the problem worse.

Any suggestions as to how to stabilize this beauty mark? I don't have a picture, but visualize a tap from a ball peen hammer, held together by the Diamond Shield.

Thanks,
Ken

You can't work with fiberglass like you can with metal. You can't bump out a small dent from the back side like you can in metal. You would have to fill the dimple from the front side and paint to match. No way I can see to do it without getting under the Diamond Shield. I could be wrong (I'm no body man) but I think your going to have to live with it unless your willing to spend a good deal of money.

Unfortunately there is no way to heat fiberglass to mold it into a shape.

To fix it will require sanding.

Rats! Oh well, I guess I'll just consider it a beauty mark. Thanks.

Thing you need to find out. Is it CRACKED. If it is you need to get it fixed. If it isn't. It was in the mold, and was there when you bought the MH
Glass does not dent. It cracks, or breaks
