Our first trip to Quebec City covered 1200 miles most Highway driving, We got 11.4 MPG. NOW that is figuring Imp Gal at 4.54 lt per gal,or 9.6MPG when figuring in US gallons at 3.8 Lt per gallon.
We were not pulling anything and were running 65 to 70 MPH.

You did better than me; my first trip was 9mpg, while after that was 8.6 (but I was pulling an H2). I've noticed that speed, wind, and mountains are the big factors.

Maybe I better go back to the Cummins dealer. On a 7500+ mile trip this summer my Trip Tech says 7.0 MPG average for the whole trip!

My MPG has been a rock solid 7.3 over the first 28K miles. The current trip and the last 2K miles have gotten 7.5 MPG. I travel 60/62 MPH. Congrats on your higher mileage. It is highest I have heard from owners of coaches like ours. Don't get too excited yet. There could have been a number of factors that were in your favor and unseen. Wind and weight play a big role in fuel mileage. Good luck.

Your fuel mileage on most of these coaches will run from 6.5 to 8(depending on speed). Any other reading is wind, etc. aided.

WOW - we get excited when we can actually get 6.0 MPG. We slowed down to run no higher then 1500 RPM's to get 6.0MPG prior to that - while going the speed limit we got average of 5.5MPG. I am impressed! Find it hard to believe but impressed none the less.

6.3 - 6.8 here. I have looked into it quite a bit and this is normal for my powertrain, axle ratio and chassis. I travel at 65 - 68 mph usually.

BTW, I once got 7.5 headed out to Nappanee w/a monster tailwind this past winter.

.1 miles per gallon less for every 1 mph faster you go is the rule of thumb. If you do a search on this forum, I posted a paper from Cummins' website that laid out all the factors. Speed was number one and I think tires were number two.
