Everything went flawlessly. Not one thing wrong. All systems worked great. A pleasure to drive (38 footer). Took her to an OHV park here in Oregon, beautiful place, cost me 6 buck a night, water hook-up only. There was one hill that had me concerned while leaving, don't know the exact grade, but it had several switchbacks, just put the baby into 2nd and rarely had to touch the brake. Man, I love this MH.

Actually, that's the camera angle. Eyeballing it and by a level it was where it needed to be. Go figure.

Should have also mentioned, this was a trial run for my dog as well, at home he is extremely protective, so I needed to know how he would be out and about. Other than going for one women (which many people would like to go for),

I had him on lead, he was perfect. No barking until the last night, and then he was looking off into the woods, growling and barking. Since it was dark, I didn't go looking for what he might sense, just took him inside. Saw lots of deer, not a whimper out of the dog. (Boxer)
All in all, a great trip.

my 1996 mountain aire has a 460 ford ,, we love it as well ,, i took the stripes off and had new ones painted on,, looks great,, also put new flooring throughout,, very pleased,, what is your gas mileage,, mine is 8 up hill or down,, does yours have the banks system on it ?

Paintblend, Have no idea on the mileage yet. Since I ran the generator during the trip, figured I'd wait until I took it on a really long trip to judge mileage. Yes, It has the 460 with the Banks package.

I did re-do the kitchen floor, the PO had put down vinyl flooring. Why, I have no idea. Took me 3 full weekends to remove all the adhesive and restain and seal, but I love it. The carpet is in great shape.

we really enjoy ours and we put a flat screen in front and back,, we took the recliner out and put a new rocker recliner with foot rest in,, it is self standing and can be easily moved around,,

Paintblend, How did you get the TV out of the front. I know, they always say to check the "stickie" thread. Well that's all well and good, but I've yet to see a front TV setup like mine. It has the wooden bezel and the outside is padded vinyl. I've looked everywhere and can find nowhere to get the bezel off. I've un-screwed the few screws I've found to either side in the cabinets, still no go.

Tell me the secret ol' noble one.

Plus, how did you get the stripes off the side of your's?

I used the 3M large stripe removal tool, part number 07517, and attached it to my side grinder, they came off with little effort,, the attachment is around 85 bucks,, well worth it,, i used two of them in taking them all off,, and the tv removal was easy, push the tv back into the cabinet and just on the inside of the cabinet behind the bezel you will find 4 square head screws holding the frame on the cabinet, two on each side take them out and remove bezel,,,, i then unrolled the vinyl wrap and exposed the frame,, i then cut the frame even with the cabinets and then folded back the wrap and secured it,,and screwed the bezel back on then i mounted a flat screen bracket where the old tv was and secured it,, and in the bedroom i removed the tv cabinet all together and put a flat screen adj. wall mount,, love it,, the tv will pull out and swivel and then lay flat on wall when traveling

Thanks Paintblend, I'll look into the TV removal. It sure would be nice to get rid of that excess wieght, There's alot of things I can do with that space once the TV is gone.

Great going on your purchase and welcome to the fun of RV'n.

Your forum name sounds like a "term" we used in the Air Force- Does it start out "All ------ , etc".

Glad the Dog did well. They can see unbelievably well at night. I test my young Lab by throwing bumpers in total darkness and rough terrain. It seems she almost does better at night.

Good luck with the TV's. Many of us have been through the upgrades ourselves. A bit of advise- Get as big a unit as you can and mount it OUTSIDE the old box. If you buy one that fits inside the old box you won't be happy with the reduced size picture with the new non HD picture format.

Thanks Max H, Yep the word you're thinking of is the meaning of my Forum Handle. LOL I was Army.

As for the TV, I don't plan on replacing it. The current one works just fine, I just don't watch much TV, except for maybe the News, and once I retire (31 Dec 2011, God willing) I won't even watch that. Give me a good book any day of the week.

I'm really glad that Cash did so well, I was really worried about him, but seems like taking him away from "his" property works to curb his aggression. I like that he wants to protect me and what's "his", but traveling could have been a nightmare. Unfortunately, he's learned to open the MH door, so will have to add some sort of interior lock that's too high for him to reach. Dang, they're making dogs smarter and smarter these days, or humans are getting dumber. LOL
