I will be at Spartan next month for some work on 2006 DSDP 43'. We are very disappointed with the ride on this coach. Anyone else out there having a problem such as mine and what did you do about it. Since this is my first factory visit, do you have any tips for me.Thanks
Paul

Welcome Paul to the Newmar forum and irv2.
Had a friend with MADP and Spartan took care of his whole suspension problems. Others on here have also been to they site and were well taken care of.
Enjoy the forum and do post often.
I have KARMA if you want.

Hi Paul,
Welcome to iRV2. Please let us know if your dissappointment is with:
1. steering (wandering)
2. hard ride
3. soft ride
4. handling (side ways movement of the coach due to wind, trucks, etc.)
5. thumpy ride
6. etc.
There can be a long list of solutions unless a bit more information is provided.
An initial tip I can give you is about parking. Spartan provides some parking (about 10 coaches). 50 amp service (limitted), no water or dump. Come with full water and empty waste tanks. The sites are not level (side to side). They are also quite narrow. Try to get the #1 site at the bottom of the hill or the last site at the top of the hill. This way, there may be somebody only on one side and you can open your slides on the other side. Also be careful when backing into the sites. There is a concrete (yellow) post to protect the electric pedestal. This could interfere with opening a slide. Also, 50 amp service is for the first person plugging into the post. The next coach gets 30 AMP.

Paul, I also have a 43' 4306. What type of ride issues do you have? I have had a major problem with front tire wear...outside edge of right front and inside edge of left front. I had alignment done twice, 2nd time they found right rear duals out of alignment by 3/8 of an inch.
The ride on rough freeways is not as smooth as I expected, but better than my last coach...so I'm not sure of what I should have expected.
I have had my coach 18 months...21K miles.
I have a post with my 1 year report card and would be interested if you have had similar problems.
Ronnie

Welcome to the forum Paul. Gary pretty well described the overnight camping, however it is rarely busy, at least that has been my experience. I was there last Wednesday to Thursday and April 2 to 4 before that. There were 3 other coaches in April and 4 others last week. Everybody took two spots on both occassions and there was room for more using double space.

Paul, I found that some of the lower number sites require jacking up the curb side pretty high to get level. Most of the higher number sites are more level side to side.

One always has to watch for those yellow posts....They have those in the lot at Newmar as well....
