Had coach at Gaffney Service Center this past Sunday night. I had two options: drop keys off with a list of things I wanted done or wait until 7:45 am to go to service desk Monday morning.
Since I already had a work order written up last tuesday, and many were standing in line already, I forsaked the line and used drop box. I got on the road and called two hours later. Freightliner confirmed they had control of coach. For me, I will pick up coach next Saturday.
Information about Service center: they have about 20 parking spots with electrical hook ups, no water at parking sites. So, as you enter the back there is a dump station with potable water just before you go and park. Make sure you put some water in coach water tanks if you are not carrying water already.
Many families were staying with coaches while repairs were getting done. If you are lucky and can get on the standby list (if you will) early enough, a good chance again you will only be there only a day depending on repair needs.
Service Tech Representatives will only say the odds of getting done in a day with repair/repairs as standby is the luck of timing. Getting you back on the road by Friday if you are there by Wednesday morning is there ultimate goal as standby.
Appointments are over a month or more out right now. So getting work done on standby is still pretty reasonable with regards to time. Personally, I believe the Service Center is pretty cool and accomadating for Rv'ers in need of help. So far I am impressed that they have the mindset to help, there only limitation is timing when you hit the facility. I got there Sunday and only four electrical hookups left. Looks like some overflow parking without hookups available though.
