Trying to install new Dometic 320 toilet in my 2002 Kountry Star. The flange needs to be turned to align with the new toilet. Anyone had to do this? If so, does it just turn? I don’t want to break the flange, or worse damage the tank.

The flange should be glued to the pipe into black tank, I say should because mine dropped out of flange and dropped into black tank, but thats another story.
The pipe into tank has a sealed collar around hole in tank, if you are careful and gently turn the flange back and forth the flange and pipe will all turn to the position you need it to.
If you have some 3 in 1 oil and can get it on pipe to drop to tank may help in turning the whole thing.
If the flange brakes loose from pipe than you need to clean it up and re-glue or buy a new flange.
The pipe will be tight into tank so only turn in small increments until it moves better, do not pull up on flange you will lose seal on tank surface.

Some floor flanges are screwed into drain pipe and some are glued to drain pipe

Look down into drain pipe and see if there are any threads.

Toilet floor flange repair adapter
Place it over existing floor flange aligning 'T' bolt with toilet base then uses screws to attach to floor flange

I just used my multi tool to cut 2 new slots for the bolts. https://www.amazon.com/Ridgid-R28602.../dp/B01LOUBBYS

It worked great and is holding firm.

My straight down, drop pipe, was pushed into a rubber grommet in the black tank.

If you Google black tanks, it seems like, thats the way they are installed. It makes sense, with the movement of the RV, that they would do it that way rather then glue both ends between floors.

When I switched toilets, I grabbed the flange with big slip joint pliers and turned it to the proper position.

Thanks for all the input. I put 2 toilet bolts in their slots and used a screwdriver between them and slowly turned it. Worked out great. Thanks again.
