Flat floor

Has anyone heard anything about Newmar doing a flat floor slide, like the 2013 Tiffin? I wonder, if it's a good thing, why no one has been discussing it as a possibility.

They use more mechanical parts to drop floor Newmar just has rollers to drop floor down a ramp less parts to go wrong.
What will happen if parts break, with Newmar slide we can push or crank the slide closed.

sorico - I am sure you have 2 "flat floor" slides in your rig (ODS front and DS bedroom). The other 2 slides you have are not flat floor.

Newmar has been doing them for a very long time (not sure if they were available when Newmar first "invented" the slide out). As 00 said, Newmar uses ramp/rollers to achieve a flat slide floor. A little "klunky" but highly effective, efficient, robust, and field repairable.

Not sure what you are thinking about the Tiffin setup being different in end result other than how Tiffin achieves the flat floor??????
