"Flip-Lap" Table Attached to Passenger Seat of '15 DSDP 4369

I think I'm ready to remove (neatly, hopefully) the "flip-lap" table that's
attached to the passenger seat of my '15 DSDP 4369, and perhaps others.
So far, I find it's in the way as opposed to being of any use. Curious what
you others have decided to do about yours? For any who've chosen to
remove theirs, how neat a job did you manage ? Thanks!

"Flip-Lap" Table Attached to Passenger Seat of '15 DSDP 4369

I'm about ready to dismantle the "flip-lap" table attached to the passenger seat of my '15 DSDP 4369 - perhaps other models as well? I find it more
in the way than of any use. How about your others? No doubt many have
chosen to remove it. How is the best/neatest way to remove it, should I
decide to follow through with it? Many thanks!

I removed mine the first day. For "US", it was a useless table and ankle biter. Mine had a bracket on the set frame that allowed you to remove the entire unit. Some said other years were different.

On my 2014 LE 3436, the bracket is removeable; however, since it barely sticks out beyond the edge of the seat, I have left it in place and just removed the table and square-tube support.

As others have said, we found it to be a useless "amenity."

Algoma...appreciate your catching this and referring me to a previous thread. I just had seen nothing about this "bugger" and overlooked first searching it. Wonder if they are still adding this "amenity"? An option,
perhaps?

In the 2016 Dutch Star, its not an option but is a standard feature.

I've wondered if those tables fit other rigs for some time although I had an aftermarket slide out table for the dash of the '02 DSDP. Now, the Magna has no table for the passenger and I'm still wondering.

If it is like my 2014 Ventana LE, just loosen two hex-head "set screws" and slide the whole thing out. If you also want to remove the lower bracket (which we didn't because we don't find it objectionable), remove two bolts and it will come off cleanly. You'll never know it was there.

Sadly, what a waste, it appears. And to hear that it continues to be
"standard" in the 2016...? A great idea and piece of work, if it only
worked.

Removed ours after the first trip. I can't believe that feature made it past the first design stage.

Side table is outta here!...but its not that simple...

Just removed ours yesterday...
Table was awkward to use and restricted the ability to rotate the passenger seat to face the living area. DW had no use for it after one attempt.
Removed a couple of bolts to get the table and bracket out...now the seat rotates easily towards the living area...but...there remained a serious ankle killer...the 1" square bar that was supporting the table and bracket hiding just behind the chair skirt. This bar which is on the wall side, out of the way, as the seat is faced forward is now poking into the pathway leading into the coach when the seat is rotated
Took care of that obstacle with a Sawzall...two minutes and it was gone...problem solved

Also cut a new carpet that covers the entire front of the coach and removed the little carpet pieces stuck to the floor at the top of the steps and under the drivers feet...another big improvement
