Florida RV Communities with RV Garages?
Have a friend who lives in The Great Outdoors RV Resort Florida RV Resorts | Central Florida RV & Golf Resort - The Great Outdoors in Titusville, Florida where he owns a home that has an attached 18 x 50 rv garage. We have never been to Florida and would like to visit some of these communities, and would appreciate names and comments of Florida rv communities. Thank you! Jeff

There are a few near Davenport, on 27 just west of Orlando. Also check out Lake Wales area. I live in Parrish, northeast of the Sarasota/Brandenton area. My subdivision allows RV garages to be built if the lot size permits. So far about four homes have them.
Hope that helps.

I am very interested in having an RV garage home within the next 5 years. As a result, I drove through this area last October on our first recon mission to Florida. I was expecting a lot from the advertisements I'd seen online. I was very disappointed with the area when we visited. I was probably expecting a nice subdivision that just happened to believe that a nicely constructed RV garage architecturally incorporated into a house was not an eyesore. This was not the case.
This area looked like few lots had sold. It was overgrown, roads were in bad condition, and didn't appear to have a good marketing effort. We decided from our first impression to not pursue this subdivision. It is also not very handy to major highways as it took about a half hour to get to I-95.
Just my first impression. Things may have changed.

Not sure how south you want to be but here is one in Fort Myers. We are looking at it ourselves.

Try Mt Olive Shores North. It is off of SR 33, north of Lakeland, FL. A little pricey but nice.

For personal reasons Florida is our first choice for relocation. However, from my limited research, there appears to be many more RV garage communities in the west.
The Phoenix/Mesa/Chandler area has many communities. Several house listings in the Lake Havasu area, the Bullhead City area, and Las Vegas/Henderson area.
We will likely stick to a Florida search and be patient for a property. It may be a non-subdivision property with a large RV garage or the space to build one. However, I would prefer not to have an acreage thus reducing mowing and maintenance.

Take a look at Lake Ashton in Lake Wales. Great place, 2 golf courses, beautiful club house, gated community. One section is all RV homes. RV club and many activities. We lived there 5 years, only left to be near the water.

That looks nice.
We are in a development in SW Fla. a little north of there on the Cape Haze Peninsula. Although it is not an RV only community, you are allowed to have a similar style attached RV garage if you have 2 lots. It is deed restricted so you can't park boats and RV's in the yard. There is also a community RV parking area for outdoor storage.

All, if you are looking for a place in FL, let me offer this...
4K sq', 4Bdrm, 3 Bath, Pool, 4 car garage, 25x50 RV garage, 11 Acres, in a subdivision that is in a country setting, plus an RV!
If anyone is seriously interested... send a PM, and we will talk.

We are closing on a new home next week. It has a 20x60 RV garage, that was designed from the ground up to be incorporated into the home design.
Arlington Ridge Development in Leesburg FL. right on Hwy 27. 10 minutes from the Florida Turnpike. They will allow you to modify/change/add just about anything in the house, which we did.
The RV homes are all built on an angle to the road for easy back in and they even provide a dump station.
