If you want WARM weather then travel below SR 60 on the map. Above this route it can still get pretty chilly. If you don't care about being toward the beaches around Lake O has a lot of campgrounds, "resorts" are an opinion. River Ranch near Lake Wales is nice. Near LaBelle has several campgrounds. RiverBend is beautiful but full.

Our CG/Resort stays so full in the winter that almost all the super sites are here for 4 months or longer with the reservation made several months ago. We just turned in our request for next winter and they will call for a deposit around May I believe.

Good news is if you want to be here next winter for 2 or 3 months that may be possible. They are about half way done with 60 new sites that will be about 65' long pull thru.

Check out Quail Run RV Resort in Wesley Chapel.
Large, level cement pads, manicured grounds, paved roads and many higher end motorhomes.
The staff and residents have been very friendly.
This is our first visit and will definitely return.

There is a very nice resort in Williston, FL. It’s a Good Sam. About 25 miles west of I75, south of Gainesville. Tall oaks, nice pull thrus. Nice pool. Friendly staff. Secluded.

I'll just throw one out there that is actually in Alabama, about 25 miles from the Florida line.

It has 125' - 150' pull through sites, no pool, level, and extremely friendly staff. The fees for monthly is around $300 a month and you pay electric. Since it is only about 20 to 25 miles from Mobile there are tons of stuff to do. I am guessing they could have a spot. We usually book a month there in the fall and then again in the spring when getting to or leaving Florida.

Good hunting!

Stopped there to check it out while we stayed for a week at Reunion Pointe (couple of miles away), which is a really nice RV Port home community. Small beautiful development with some of the nicest people we ever met. We stayed in their Test Drive house and within a day we were joining the other owners at house gatherings. Almost purchased, but still have too many attachments (real or imaginary) to our home of 30 years.

If you go to Bella Terra you should check it out. Also the beaches of Gulf Shores are really beautiful and surprisingly not super crowded.

We love it there too. We were there last month for a week's stay and had a great time. The price we paid was more than I wanted to pay. It's a great place to stay but they're pricing themselves above what we're willing to pay.

No discounts for longer stays.

We too are suckers for Disney. I think we are paying around $200 per night after taxes for a premium spot. Pretty steep for a piece of dirt, water and some electricity!
