Florida RV resorts

Taking our first trip to Florida in our motorhome. Any suggestions on some nice RV resorts with some room between sites. Plan to stay 2-3 weeks once we're down there. Don't want want to go to the keys, too far a drive.

You may be surprised that there may not be any openings. Call as soon as you can. Florida RV parks are notoriously full during the winter months.

Naples RV Resort is nice and expensive.
Myakka River Motorcoach Resort, Port Charlott

Pls define when, where, and what you think of when you say "Resort".

You should look at RVreviews it will give you many places to consider, we have stayed at Wilderness in Silver Springs, very nice and reasonable for what you get , 60 miles from beach at Daytona-Tomoka state park right outside Daytona 15 minutes to Ormand beach, New Symrna Beach rv park 1300 old mission rd very very good, you better start calling for reservation if you want a decent park, snow birds come down in the winter and enjoy the warm weather= it would be real helpful if you gave more information of where ,when, & how long, If you stay a month at a campground there is a better rate

To repeat the comment from above. Call your desired park asap as many are probably full. We could not get in anywhere this time last year

Florida Grande

Florida Grande Motorcoach Resort is in Webster, FL (about 50 miles West of Orlando). Large concrete sites, Class A or Super C only, some sites have a "suite" on the site.

Try Bryan Mawr Ocean Resort in St Augustine. Right on Crescent Beach. Beach allows dogs. Spaces are tight but most include a patio deck. Friendly staff. We go at least twice a year.

As others have said it is high season in South Florida until mid March when you may be able to find a spot. Conversely it is not high season in North Florida until summer, so if you plan to come down soon you may want to look North of Tampa. We are in Fort Myers and there is no room in our resort at the moment.
