Guarantee has several Newmars here, one is an Essex @ $630,000, my wife loves it! She thinks the colors are classy, not gaudy like some we've looked at. They also have a MADP, a couple DSDP's and at least two Ventana's. They also have some Baystars and other gas rigs.
If we cashed in one IRA, sold the stick house and traded in our DSDP we could pay cash for the Essex, but then we couldn't afford to fill the fuel tank!!

The wife would be happy and thats what counts isn't it, at least that what others have said to convince themselves.
Plus the tax's on house will pay for diesel.
Just think of the new ride and how easy it is to drive.

It's a beautiful rig, just not sure it'll fit in Forest Service campgrounds either! Also, it'd have to turn as sharp as our 41' DSDP in order to make it into the spot beside the stick house.
They might have a 2006 Essex too, they've got money down on it but the "buyer" seems to be backing out. Problem is we don't like the interior layout. It has the optional oval power table, more like a entertainment coach, plus it has original tires.

That table did have some problems for people, would rather have the table and chairs with desk cabinets.
Put this one in myself.

Well, pretty good I guess, my wife wasn't happy as there weren't any classes she wanted to take. I was trying to remember how many we've been to here. We used to be vendors at this venue for cat shows and a few RV shows. One of the tram drivers said there were 450 rigs here.
We're going to the Good Samboree in Redmond next month, I expect it to be bigger. The last time we were there was for an FMCA rally in 2001 or so. We still had our 2000 DSDP so it was before June 26th 2002 and after 2000.

We reluctantly left the 2011 Essex there. My wife just didn't want to clean out one of her IRA's to cash the Essex out. List was $630,000, but you should be able to get it for about $497,000. I've never dealt with Guaranty to know how they are about pricing. I know some dealers will take 25-27% off, at least that's what we got on our 2002 when we ordered it (from two different dealers).
Never did ask of the 2006 Essex actually got sold. They had money down on it but the salesman said he thought they were going to back out of it.
Got the going over our DSDP and comparing it against a new DSDP. We have more HP and torque, same axle weight ratings, and everything we need and want already in ours. Just replaced the tires and refer cooling unit, the coolant and filter, the engine oil and filter, the hyd fluid and filters and the air cleaner last year as well as going over the roof sealant. Guess we pretty much have a new unit other than the wear and tear a unit gets. Might as well keep it now!

With what you have done in pass year I would keep it plus you won't have all the trouble of first year back and forth to dealer for problems.
I like my 03 KS has more cabinet space and mods I have added plus runs like a charm.

The dealer had our rig for 108 days out of the first 305 days of ownership. When we complained they claimed they had called us repeatedly to come get it. Problem with their claim was that our phone keeps a log of the last 80 calls even if we don't answer it. There were NO calls logged from the dealer during the time it was there. In fact they wouldn't even speak to me when I called them. The shop manager was NEVER available when I called. Both my flexible antennas were stolen from the rig while on their lot. They never even offered to put new ones on or pay for the missing ones. All the shop manager said was "Well, it happens, make a police report" I went to the Sheriff's office, they didn't want a report as it was such a small amount. And the BBB just took the dealers word that I was satisfied, and again the dealer never contacted us.
We did get a free TV out of the dealer as they came out with an offer that if you bought a rig from them during a certain time period they would give you a TV. We bought the rig during that period, even though we ordered it much earlier. They tried (unsuccessfully) that the day we ordered was the sale date, the the AG's office said no, it was the date we showed up to sign the papers and pay the add'l $25,000.
As far as I know the dealer is no longer a Newmar dealer and at least the one we bought from has closed.

I have not seen a dealer since I left the lot. Had a other MH broken into while at dealer for repairs.
They said it was kids and they forgot to put on alarm system.
Dealer went under year later.
