I need to replace one of the front fog lights. How do you get them out?

If they are the bullet type should be two screws on bracket remove light housing and parts unscrew, glass from housing, bulb can be replaced.
If inside is all messed up scrape and clean than paint with aluminum paint.

On my 2005 MADP I slid the rubber boot off the back of the light, there was a spring clip holing the bulb in place, to remove the spring clip, one end has a big loop on it (there are trwo of these), press the loop in and move it to the middle to unhook the clip, the bulb should come right out. Remove the bulb and wire attached to the rubber boot and replace with a H3 bulb.

2001 MADP. The fog lights are round glass w/halogen inside. The glass front on one has a hole in it from a rock I suspect.

Assuming that they are the same as mine (2000 Dutch Star), mine have a stud and nut extending from the top of the round housing. The stud protrudes through the fiberglass with the nut on the inside. To access mine, I open the hood (gen cover) or pull out the gen slide-out, and reach around and down to reach the nut. I think it was a 9/16" nut. This also the way to access the headlight bulbs.

Your front cowling may be different, but once you know that the round (about 6" dia) fog lights have a single mounting stud, it may help.

Great tip! Thanks - I want to avoid using a hammer whenever possible.
