Howdy everyone.

otium here, just stumbled in.

We have a Cypress 5er we picked up a few months ago and have been enjoying it. Hope to learn some tips and tricks from our fellow newmar owners.

Karma mod, sure, lay it on me

Take care,
~otium

New here. Just learned about the site today at the International Rally seminar. Don't have an RV, can I still be a Newmar Pup? Actually after seeing and expiriencing the four hour wait for service appointments on Monday I am hesitant that Newmar can build a trouble free coach.

Triton, WELCOME to the Newmar Owner's Forum.....

With regard to the four hour wait, remember the Newmar Kountry Klub Rally you're attending has 870 rigs in attendance.....It's certainly not feasible to expect that there wouldn't be some wait time.
While it is indeed possible for some folks to have one or two issues addressed at National manufacturer rallies, the BEST place to have this done is either with a service appointment at a dealer or at the factory, remembering the factory service appointments are several weeks out...

As a former Winnebago owner I can attest to their factory repair appointments being as busy..

You may think Triton that you will have a trouble free coach from any MFG you will have a good foundation with a Newmar coach thats why I have owned three of them.

I have been lurking awhile and decided to register today. Not a Newmar owner yet, but will be in 2008.

DH and I are retiring in early 2008. We plan to sell the house and all the 'stuff' we've accumulated, buy a custom ordered Newmar Essex 4510 and then travel around until we decide it's time to settle in one place again in 5, 10 or maybe 20 years.

We've never owned an RV before, but we love to travel.

Sue

Okay, Okay...so I don't belong here! I just have to say, as I am sneaking a peek at your owners' threads that I am amazed that Sue and hubby (saydiver) are planning to retire in 2008 and immediately begin fulltiming! Wow! That's really a jump, but I sure hope it will be the most fun you have ever had in your life...including when you were a kid!!!

We're not fulltimers, but we do travel a lot...going somewhere just about every month for a week or longer. We've been at it for nearly 6 years, and have loved every minute!

Okay, okay.... Like Gail and John I too was looking around the IRV2 site and had to read some of the Newmar posts. I am relatively new to IRV2 but have been finding some outstanding information on the site. I dont post much but have been "lurking" reading up on all the Alpine posts and learning more about my new Alpine. Great site.... just like the RVing people on it

Welcome hrhuggie to Newmar forum
Feel free to join in anytime and congrats on your new Alpine they are a good loaded coach.
Had one parked next to me at Tenn. Rally this year. Had a tour and we were checking out some things to put in working order full of electronics.

You're correct in that it will be a big jump for us, but there is no way we can justify paying 6K a month for the privilege to live in Silicon Valley when we no longer have a reason to be here after we retire.
