Fort McHenry Tunnel

Heading to Maryland soon and just making sure the tunnel is not going to be a problem. Pulled our trailer through it before but the coach is a lot bigger. Does anyone know if any one tunnel has more clearance?
Heading to Bethesda area from CT.

Italian Star-

Take the Key Bridge instead.

From this link:

Why can't I take my RV or camper through either the Baltimore Harbor or the Fort McHenry Tunnels?

Regulations govern the transportation of certain hazardous materials across our toll facilities. Under these regulations, vehicles carrying bottled propane gas in excess of 10 pounds per container (maximum of 10 containers), bulk gasoline, explosives, significant amounts of radioactive materials, and other hazardous materials are prohibited from using the Fort McHenry Tunnel (I-95) or the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel (I-895). The Francis Scott Key Bridge (I-695) is a convenient alternative route for crossing Baltimore's harbor.

Tunnel should be fine IF you have an all-electric coach.
Propane is not allowed in the tunnel!

We actually detoured through the city in a Class C once because we had propane and didn't know it wasn't allowed.

Thanks for the replies!

We are all electric although I am carrying a 20 lb cylinder for outside cooking. The funny thing is that before I took our trailer through there a few years ago I called the tunnel authority and they told me it was okay to have propane as long as the tank(s) were shut off. Luckily I wasn't stopped as that may have been bad information.
We are heading to Cherry Hill so 695 west it is!

Take the Key Bridge and while on the bridge, you should be on the inner loop, look down at the water. Part the way up the bridge, one buoy is painted Red/White/Blue. It denotes where Francis Scott Key was anchored aboard a British Ship when he penned our National Anthem. Pretty Cool!

Heading south on 95 taking 695 East(Key Bridge) is about 8 miles longer and You pay a toll.In any event You need to be at the 695-95 exit before 2 PM to avoid the traffic.

I remember seeing a 96" max width restriction at one of the tunnels (Harbour or Ft. McHenry) - can't remember which one. I took the Key Bridge route.

I believe it is allowed provided the main shut off valve is closed

We have been through on several occasions. This is exactly what we were told

There are signs before you enter either tunnel that say no propane. I usually take I695 west around Baltimore and travel near Pikesville, Woodlawn and Catonsville and then get back on I95. That way you don't have to deal with the propane issues and this road is free.
