Forum Members Gather in Texas

A group of Newmar Owners (specifically Dutch Star) and Forum members joined for an impromptu visit and get together in the Texas Hill Country this past week. Friends, 'Capt. Kirk, SRobb, Bigdogsolo (me) and Jeff Jamieson and spouses all staying at Buckhorn RV Resort in Kerrville, were our guests for a Happy Hour at our home then a fine dinner at PoPo's Restaurant in Welfare Texas.

It is great that through this forum and meeting these folks as we all travel the country allows this kind of fellowship and camaraderie. We had a wonderful time and look forward to the next time.

From Left to Right...Bigdogsolo and wife Susan, Srobb and wife Susan, Capt. Kirk and wife Vicky, Jeff Jamieson and wife Joann.

Distinguished looking group. It'll be hard for me to find a Newmar user group. I own a Northern Star, I know only two other forum members with one. We own orphans...but love em.

Nice you could get together. Thanks for sharing the experience.

Good looking crew. I'm not that far away, in Spicewood. Maybe we can hop on over next time.

Parked (in our Dutch Star) a rocks throw from a Northern Star. Had to go ask the owner what it was. Have a cousin living in Comfort, and stayed in Fredericksburg last year. Love the Hill Country. Hope to visit again there next year on our way back from out west. Actually plan on staying at Buckhorn next time through. Coincidence, sure Capt Kirk would think not!!

When we pass through after our western tour/grandchildren fix we will let you know. If you happen to be near Comfort, my cousin and husband own Hill Country Pottery. Really cool place, and people. Thanks for the invite. Hopefully we'll see y'all one day.

Such a good time! So great to meet fellow Newmar owners and IRV2 members. This was definitely a highlight of our stay in Texas Thanks Sal for hosting. We'll see you for sure next year if not before!

We stayed at Ladybird Johnson Park in Fredricksburg the month of November last year. Loved the area. It was the first trip with the NS and was somewhat harrowing on the narrow Hill Country roads. I am used to it now but wow, there was a pucker factor for sure.
