Freightliner XCR vs. Spartan MMGT Chassis handling

I am considering a new Newmar Moutain Aire with the XCR chassis (tag axle). My current MADP (2006 tag) on the Spartan MMGT chassis is very firm with little roll and front to back porpoising. Sometimes the MMGT chassis is too firm when traveling on rought roads. Can anyone comment on the handling of the Freightliner vs. Spartan? Not sure how the Sachs shocks will compare to the Bilsteins on the Spartan chassis.

Thank you,

Freightliner XCR

Have the Freightliner XCR chassis on my 2013 Ventana 4038. My first diesel. We love the ride. Had a 2006 gasser previously. Mine has the tag axle and think it rides extremely well. Almost all freeway miles right now.

I have had both chassis on Dutch Stars with tag; did not really see any differences.

Freightliner XCR low speed handling

I had an '03 Revolution that would rock and roll on low speed turns, especially when pulling out of a driveway or around a sharp turn. I once drove a Monaco DP that rocked so much, it broke the washing machine cabinet. I am hoping that the new XCR chassis and shocks are firm enough to support the coach. I am putting a lot of faith in Newmar.

I have the xcs chassis. I was never happy with Sachs shocks ride. The side roll was always extreme. I changed over to Koni last year and the ride change was remarkable. I then thought if I ever bought a new coach, I would immediately change the shocks. If fleetwood ever brings back the 40v floor plan I will test my theory.
