Fresh water Autofill

I'm sure this has been gone over so please forgive me for going over this again........ we have a 2017 Ventana with Autofill. In the water bay there is a lever with "on/off". Should that lever be horizontal or vertical for the Autofill? Is the "on/off" for the Autofill or the manual fill? I plan to mark the bay with the answer. Also, I know that the Autofill needs to be engaged in the front compartment. Thanks in advance for the guidance.

Horizontal and also in the panel above the entry door cycle the lower left panel until you see autofill and press and hold to enable.
