Thumbs up Fresh water overflow

I took the plunge and removed the peg board. Was not happy what I found:
Lots of wood shavings, wood dust loose screws, and most important, The black electrical box dangling loose on the wires. I think it is sensor junction box. They never attempted to secure it?
Drove to HD and bought all the parts needed to correct faulty design.
Two hours later the main work was done before it got dark. Tomorrow will cut new white peg board with slot to see the water level as someone suggested Also will secure the box and wires.
Also, I tried to check with a flash light if the overflow fitting sticks inside the tank. It does. My guess is, about 2". Thats why we were loosing water to syphoning action.
Before and after photos below.

The black box is the toilet control module.

See this thread.

We've been on the road a year now. I routinely fill our fresh water tank completely full. Before these mods the tank would siphon out badly and usually down to a bit above half full. After the mod, no further problems. And, the bonus is that gravity fill is a cinch now.

I was wondering about that, ever time I hit a bump the toilet flushes, I thought it was just the toilet design...

The Air Admitance Valve is kinda of heavy. I wonder if the long section of PVC pipe coupled with road vibration will cause damage to the plastic fitting on the tank.

Fresh Water Overflow Mod

Glad I found this thread. Discovered water in my pegboard area after a long drive the other day.
