This one should be rather simple. Given the confined area behind the fridge, can I install an inline water filter in the horizonal position? I e-mailed the manufacturer (Dupont) with no response. I will have to keep it as far away from the heat as I can.

This is a great site, I have learned more here than any other source...Many thanks guys.

I installed one w/no problems. I just got one of those filters from camping world, cut the line and inserted the 1/4" line in either end.

One problem though, for me this line froze when I drove home to Buffalo. It froze before I could winterize.

I will be installing a new one as I found the line under the fridge in the back of that little cabinet. That way no freezing.

Also, you will want to buy a valve to shut off the water when changing the filter or dealing w/a leak. Also if you have to winterize. I got a facefull of RV Antifreeze this last time.

You can install one under sink and filter a faucet you mount on sink and also feed to line going to ice maker in fridge.
Living in N.C. it may never freeze.

I have easy access to the 1/4" plastic tube that feeds the ice cube maker through the outside door. It would be much easier to install the filter if I could lay it down. The kitchen sink and the fridge are on opposite sides.

If your line comes from the bathroom side sink cabinet could maybe install there to keep it out of the weather.

I posted your signature info in your profile so you can have more retirement time.

Thanks 007, I will check that out. I would like to keep it away from the heat generated at the back of the Fridge when running on LP. Also thanks for the help with my signature, always could use some extra time to enjoy the good life.
