We recently changed our front tires on the 2005 05 DSDP to XRV 305's in an attempt to improve the ride. From postings on other sites it is obvious that this tire is not stocked by many Michelin dealers and obtaining a replacement while on the road may be a problem. Question - could you replace only one of the fronts with another size tire on a temporary basis - like 1000 miles or so without damaging anything?

No, it will not damage anthing to run different size tires on the front end. It will, however, cause the front brakes to pull towards the smaller diameter tire. But for a need to basis for a number of miles, it will work. Do not try this on the drive axle. Damage and or excessive wear to components may occurr whether the vehicle is equipped or not with ATC (automatic traction control).

Yes, we also have the XRV 305s and have traveled extensively(Mexico/Alaska)-would not be concerned.
