Fuel filter locations on ISL12 in Spartan MADP?

Trying to get part numbers to order a spare set of fuel filters for the 2018 MADP 4047 on a Spartan chassis. The big fuel filter/water separator canister is located in the aft compartment; no problem finding it. Have looked everywhere for the second filter that should be located on the engine, but can't find it. Probably just don't know what it looks like and it is right under my nose.

Can anyone identify for me where that filter is?

Are you sure you have a second? You may not. Call Spartan.

Yes, did that and Spartan gave me the part numbers for the primary and secondary filter canisters. So, while I now have the filter part numbers, I still don't know where the secondary filter is located.

I think you have an ISX 12 not an ISL 12. Cummins never made an ISL 12, but they do make an ISX 12.

You are absolutely correct! I don't know what I was thinking as I really do know the difference. Just chalk it up to "Ol Fumble Fingers."

TJ - Here's the documentation that I had previously download from Cummin's QuickServe site for the pressure fuel filter for the ISX12 in my MADP.

It contains details on the filter, installation procedure, and location.

Pressure Fuel Filter.pdf

If you haven't already setup a QuickServe account, I recommend you do so.

On my 2006 MADP both fuel filters and Hydraulic filter are located in the rear compartment under a plastic cover. The air dryer is there also.

We have a 18 London Aire with the Spartan K3 chassis but with the X15. The fuel filters should be the same and also same locations. Your primary filter is in the cabinet with your chassis batteries on passengers side last cabinet back. Your second filter will be in the engine compartment toward the back fiberglass rear area. Would suggest getting a double set and keep them in the coach with you. I have replaced many fuel over the 22 years of owning Newmar's and would recommend filling fuel filter before installing them.

Thanks, Tom.

Yes, carrying a spare set of fuel filters has been something I have always done and that's what got this whole exercise started. I was trying to find the location of the secondary filter in case I ever needed to replace it. I will look where you suggest. It is raining cats 'n dogs here this morning, so I'll wait until it takes a break.

If you prefill the filters put a plug in the center hole (outlet) and pour the liquid in the small outer inlet holes. That way the liquid gets filtered.

The 450 is designed to purge the air out of the secondary fuel filter back to the tank. Just turn the key on for about 10 seconds without starting about 10 times. Spartan recommends not filling the secondary. $20,000 fuel pump. I would think all models would do it.
