Fuel mileage

I have a 2013 Dutchstar and would like to know if anyone else uses the on board computer to check their fuel mileage and gallons used. I had a post and one person did let me know their's was off 10-15%. Mine is a little worse than that and I am trying to get it re-calibrated. Keep having everyone say this was the ONLY coach with the problem as no one else has made a complaint. If you have checked the readout against actual and have a discrepancy I would sure like to hear from you. John

I was the one that had the 10-15% discrepancy.... for example, it might say I used 110 gallons and when I fill it takes 125 gallons. It's been off since we got it. Only have about 6000 miles on it since it's been in the dealer getting fixed almost more than we get to use it. Not issues with the chassis... but body builder issues.

If you get yours recalibrated, let us know how it turns out. I would think it should be spot on since the system is monitored by the computer to inject fuel at the specified amts to meet emission requirements

I have a 2012 Dutch and can't locate the on board computer. Does anyone know if it has one and where it is?

fuel mileage

The readout is in the dash along with the odometer, etc. Freightliner has a square button on the left of the dash that will allow access to various readings. Spartan had buttons at the area of the readout that did the same thing, allowing selection of the readouts.
I have spent countless hours on the telephone about this issue and after Finally getting manufacturer, chassis rep and Cummins rep with me on a conference call, Cummins admitted they are aware and just have not taken the time to address the issue.
I still have not given up, but still would like more folks to let me know how inaccurate their readout is, so I have ammunition to fight this battle. John
