I always drop my front jacks and drain the slide water. Then drop my back jacks and close the slide. Issue addressed.

FWS Leak

I have had two different coaches with the FWS, in a hard and blowing rain, if the coach was parked and level, both would at times accumulate enough water on top of the slide as to when it was brought in, would dump significant water off of either end inside the coach to be a problem. Here is what I have done; since we now are advised by Newmar to extend and retract the slides while at ride height, I have adjusted the "auto level" to "level" the coach with the front slightly higher than the rear, this prevents water from accumulating on top of the slide out as well as draining all the water on top of the coach to the rear. When leaving CG hit "store", come to ride height, pull in slides, unhook and you are ready to roll. No more fooling around with the "manual" level to try to get water off the top of slides

Thanks for the info.

How hard was it to adjust the Auto Level and how much higher did you make the front over the rear. I might try raising the front of the coach manually after it does an Auto Level and see how that works.

Were working on getting out of here before end of March and taking a trip to TX before we need to be at Newmar Jun 4 for warranty work. Then we go off to Freightliner for a Jun 22 appointment for service.

I set the rear of the coach just low enough to drain water accumulating of slide. to adjust this, find the level adjustment for whatever system you have, read instructions for how to calibrate it, manually adjust the coach to whatever new "level" you want, then set the adjuster to read this as your new "level" then when you hit "auto level" the coach will "level" to this new setting. FWIW, I also adjust mine so that the "headboard" side of the bed is slightly elevated.
