Gas heater control
I want to use a thermostat on the gas heater that has "home" controls,(start/stop, etc.). The heater people said to cut the two blue wires that go to the heater and connect the thermostat between them and put wire nuts over the 'cut ends". This I did and the heater comes on at the correct time (the main a/c heater on and in 'heater' mode) but the fan runs around 10 minutes and shuts down but the gas never lights off. I am doing something wrong, any ideas? This is a 2005 Dutch Star 2024. Heat pumps and a/c work correctly.
