Hi,

We will become new first owners of a new 07 Essex in June and I was wondering if anyone could let me know how they like this oven?

Thanks Nancy

I think its great use it just as you would use a oven you have fast and slow cooking with temps set as you would your oven and you gain the extra room for draws.
Congrats on your to be new ESSEX many happy and safe miles.

Hi! We have it in our coach and think it cooks great! Make sure when you pick up your coach that it has a Pure Sine Wave Inverter in it. Some of us have had problems with that microwave on a Modified Sine Wave Inverter. Paul

The inverter advice is good advice, but I'm pretty certain that change has been made on the production line for a month or so....

So far I've used the oven as a beverage warmer and a popcorn maker....Does it REALLY do more than that?

Eastern,
We have been fulltiming in our Essex for over a year and really enjoy using the Advantium. It is excellent. We still are learning new ways to prepare foods. We really like the built-in menu that helps with the settings. The oven and microwave are fairly self explanatory. What is different (but works well) is the speedcook option using the hi-intensity lights and microwave.
You can do up some pretty nice meals.

We also have the G.E. Advantium. Actually it is made by Samsung for G.E. private label.
As mentioned a MSW (modified sine wave) inverter can create problems including burning the internal bulb out. The interior light change requires a G.E. tech to do as half the unit must be dismantled.
But, to answer your question, it's a great unit.

Hi Peter! Speaking of lights, have you been able to get that one pesky Halogen Bulb replaced yet?? Love to Cherry. Paul

Paul I have not and have now a second that also will not open. Terry from North Trail told me last week when I ran into him, that the entire light assembly will pull out if all else fails. Well, it won't. And looking at my spare unit I can see why. The claws that are to hold it in can pass the thickness of the ceiling and lock open blocking it from removal.
Anyway, I will figure it out somehow, it's just not a very big priority right now.
