Generator Fuel Report

Just an FYI - we attended a bluegrass festival in Columbus Ohio last week. Turned my generator on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m., turned it off Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Ran both AC units the entire time.

Appears it used about 35 gallons of diesel fuel over that time period.

Yea but, what make and model of generator?

Mine is a Power Tech with a Kubota engine and is supposed to use 1/2 gal per hr. Sounds like that is close to what you have found... maybe a little less.

Ron - ours is an Onan 7.5 Kw in a 2007 DSDP. With both AC's running, plus the TV, the readout showed it was delivering 42 amps. Of course, the TV wasn't on all the time, but the AC units were.
